Match summary 2nd Quarter final.

2nd Quarter final of ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011 is played between India and Australlia at Sardar Patel Stadium on Sardar Patel Stadium.


Umpires: RS Madugalle,M Erasmus,IJ Gould,RA Kettleborough,Asad Rauf.


Australian team won the toss and chose to bat first.They played well and scored 260 runs in 50 overs with lose of 6 wickets.RT Ponting 104 runs on 118 balls.Z Khan,R Ashwin and Yuvraj Singh took 2 each wickets.


Australia: 260/6 (50.0) RR:5.20


India need 261 runs in 50 overs with 10 wickets in hand.They started well and gain their target of 261 runs in 47.4 overs with the loss of 5 wickets.SR Tendulkar ,G Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh scored 50 in the match.Yuvraj Singh remains not out on 57 runs.B Lee took 1 wicket from Australlia.

By winning this match India qualifies for the semi-finals and Australian team is out from the ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011.INDIA faces PAKISTAN in the semi-final at mohali(INDIA) on 30 Mar 2011.
