Road to final.

ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011 is started on 19 Feb 2011 in ASIA( INDIA,SRILANKA and BANGLADESH)


There are two groups of ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011.There are 7 teams in each group.In group A teams are (Pakistan,Australia,Newzealand,Srilanka,Zimbabwe,Canada and Kenya)

In the group B teams are (India,South Africa,England,West Indies,Bangladesh,Ireland and Netherlands).The Top 4 teams of each groups are qualifies for the quarter final.

From group A ( Pakistan,Australia,Newzealand and srilanka) qualifies for the quarter final and From Group B ( India, South Africa, England and West Indies) qualifies for the quarter finals.


In 1st Quarter-final (Pakistan face West Indies) Pakistan won
In 2nd Quarter-final (India face Australia) India won
In 3rd quarter-fianl (South Africa face Newzealand) NewZealand won
In 4th quarter-fianl (Srilanka face England) Srilanka won

So the teams qualifies for the Semi-finals are (Pakistan,India,Newzealand and srilanka)


1st Semi-final is played on 29th Mar 2011 between (Srilanka and Newzealand) in Colombo(srilanka) Srilanka won this match and qualifies for the Final of ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011.



2nd semi-final is the final before the final for both teams and is played on 30th Mar 2011 between (India and pakistan) in MOHALI(India).INDIA won this match and qualifies for the final of ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011.


Now INDIA will face SRILANKA in the final of ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2011 on 2nd April 2011.
